  • At Belle of the Ball, our judging process is designed to celebrate confidence, personality, creativity, and overall presentation. Each category is judged using a 9.0–10.0 scoring scale, with all areas weighted equally to create a fair and balanced competition.

    Beauty Competition

    Contestants will be judged on three equally weighted areas:

    Stage Presence — 33.3%
    Confidence, confidence on stage, walk, poise, and the ability to capture the judges’ attention.

    Overall Appearance — 33.3%
    Gown selection, styling, presentation, and an overall polished appearance.

    Poise — 33.3%
    Grace, elegance, composure, and the way contestants carry themselves on stage.

    Tropical Christmas Wear

    Contestants will be judged on three equally weighted areas:

    Creativity / Theme — 33.3%
    Originality, creativity, and how well the contestant brings the Tropical Christmas concept to life.

    Overall Appearance — 33.3%
    The complete look, styling, details, and how all elements come together.

    Confidence — 33.3%
    Personality, stage presence, energy, and the confidence displayed while presenting the look.

Beauty

Belle of the Ball’s Beauty competition is a Soft Beauty Evening Gown competition designed to showcase elegance, confidence, and personality.

Contestants should select an evening gown that makes them feel beautiful and confident while reflecting their own personal style. We encourage elegant, age-appropriate gowns that allow each contestant to shine on stage.

This is a Soft Beauty event, not a glitz competition. Contestants may wear age-appropriate makeup, styled hair, hair enhancements, and spray tans if they choose, but these enhancements are not required. We encourage a polished look while still celebrating each contestant’s natural beauty.

Tropical Christmas Wear

Tropical Christmas Wear is where holiday magic meets island vibes! This is your chance to think outside the box and create a look that combines the warmth of the tropics with the sparkle of the Christmas season.

Imagine Santa relaxing on the beach, a Christmas vacation in paradise, or a tropical wonderland filled with holiday cheer! Contestants can choose to embrace a traditional Christmas-inspired look, a tropical-inspired outfit, or a creative combination of both.

Creativity is highly encouraged! We want to see bold ideas, unique designs, fun details, and personalities shine through.

Swimwear Showdown

Get ready for a fun and exciting Jackpot-Style Competition! Swimwear Showdown is all about confidence, personality, and owning the stage in your favorite swimsuit look.

This event is not required to be Christmas-themed. Contestants are encouraged to choose a swimsuit style that makes them feel confident and represents their personal style.

This is a Jackpot Event, meaning the winners will split the collected cash prize! It is not a required event and is optional.

Tentative Schedule

  • We will have the stage open for girls who would like to run a practice round!

  • Acceptable crowning attire includes:
    Pink dress
    Pink jumpsuit
    Pink romper

    Nude shoes are required for crowning attire.

  • No! Tropical Christmas Wear can be inspired by either the holiday season, tropical vibes, or a creative combination of both. Think Santa at the beach, a Christmas vacation, island holiday magic, or your own unique interpretation. Creativity is highly encouraged!

  • No! Swimwear Showdown is an optional jackpot-style competition. Contestants who choose to participate will compete for a cash prize pool, with winners splitting the collected jackpot.

  • Small handheld props are allowed. Props should complement your presentation and not distract from the contestant.

  • Yes! Age-appropriate makeup, styled hair, hair extensions, and spray tans are permitted. However, they are not required. We encourage each contestant to choose the look that makes them feel confident.

  • For Tropical Christmas Runway and Swimwear Showdown, contestants can go on stage barefoot if it compliments their outfit.
